7-Eleven – Kwik-E-Mart
Two Cannes Gold Lions. That's what happens when you stop thinking like a brand and start thinking like a fan.
To promote The Simpsons Movie, 7-Eleven partnered with Fox to transform select stores into real-life Kwik-E-Marts — a fully immersive stunt that blurred the line between fandom and retail. We reimagined every detail: Buzz Cola, Krusty O's, custom signage, uniforms, the works. The campaign became a cultural moment, drawing massive media coverage, fan pilgrimages, and record-setting sales.
This is still the project I measure everything else against — because it got the thing that's hardest to fake: genuine human delight.
And nearly two decades later, the campaign still has its own section in the Kwik-E-Mart Wikipedia entry. Promotional items still sell on eBay. That's not nostalgia — that's what it looks like when a brand becomes part of the culture.
